Our Story
Our founders watched families in their community struggle to get to work, to appointments, to school. Not because they lacked the will - because they lacked the means. Meanwhile, cars sat unused in driveways, traded in, or scrapped.
The question was simple: what if we connected those two things?
Effective Care is the answer. A CRA-registered charity rooted in a family collision repair shop in British Columbia, connecting donated vehicles with the families who need them most.

What We Believe
In car-dependent communities, transportation is foundational infrastructure for human dignity - not a luxury.
When donors can see their car changing a life, giving becomes a relationship, not a transaction.
Passing something on says: this still has value, and you deserve it. We operationalize that at scale.
Our review process is identical for every applicant. No family is favoured by connection or circumstance.
Recipient identities are protected at every stage. Updates are always opt-in, never assumed.
